The Flexible Venues
An
enchanting twelfth century castle steeped in history.
Thirty
acres of glorious Victorian garden, with a grand mansion
for a backdrop.
The Berkeley Estate offers a choice of two truly unique
venues, suited to all manner of events, corporate entertaining
and private functions.
Berkeley Castle
Surrounded by lush green meadow with far-reaching views,
the Castle stands guard over the bustling little market town
of Berkeley on the banks of the River Severn.
Just off the A38, midway between the lively cities of Bristol
and Gloucester, its beautiful, peaceful location is ideally
situated only ten minutes from the M5, and close to major
rail networks. It has good facilities, security and parking.
As the chosen venue for the first ever
performance of Shakespeare’s
Midsummer Night’s Dream, Berkeley lends itself to outdoor
theatre, moonlight concerts and carols by candlelight. It
has also proved the perfect setting for everything from battle
re-enactments, artists’ workshops and costume exhibitions,
to Easter Egg hunts, cookery demonstrations and corporate days! Berkeley Events
